April showers......
Have certainly brought in the beautiful and splendid flowers in May. The trees are full of leaves and the neighborhood is once again alive with people, pets, and wildlife. The smokey scents of BBQ's drift through streets and the laughter of backyard gatherings can be heard all around. There's a buzz in the air as students and faculty look forward to the end of the semester at Purdue and the upcoming joys of summer that are right around the corner. The rains have filled the Wabash River to its banks making for very picturesque shorelines. This is so worth the winter grays.
See you around the neighborhood!

Spring 2009 Has Sprung.....Well, sort of
Here in the midwest, it seems that while the seasons change, there is a transition period when Mother Nature likes to flip back and forth. March this year has been just like that - 70 degrees on St. Patrick's Day and snow 10 days later.
While we continue to move toward a full Spring Thing, we have signs of Spring showing all around. Early flowers, buds on trees, and warmer days are all promises of the good things to come in the next few weeks. See you around the neighborhood.

Here's a short video of the snow falling on Sunday morning (3/29) curtousy of Mary Ann Remnet:
