Project Move-Out
Be part of the ultimate recycling project!
Project Move-Out provides Purdue students an opportunity to donate items they no longer need as they move out of residence halls, apartments, and houses (many of which are in the New Chauncey Neighborhood).

Items that are most needed for donation are are clothes, shoes, personal care items, food, books, etc. All donated items go directly to help those in need in the Greater Lafayette community.
The items seen in the photo to the right were donated by Purdue students and faculty. The majority of these items would now be in our landfills instead of being in service. Project Move-Out is especially proud of our Wall of Clothes. Nearly 200 people in need visit the Armory each year.
Held in the Purdue Armory on campus, Project Move-Out needs help from New Chauncey Neighborhood residents and the community to help unload cars, sort and organize the donated clothes, personal items, food, toys, and books on Friday, Saturday and Sunday morning. This prepares the student donations for the give away to those in need on Sunday afternoon.
The 2009 "organizing volunteers" schedule is:
Friday, May 8, 10-4
Saturday, May 9, 10-4
Sunday, May 10, 8-12
To be a part of the giveaway to those in need:
Sunday, May 10, 1-4
There is no need to sign-up - Just show up and help out. Every hour or two you help means a lot to everyone.
