New Chauncey Events - 2008

2008 was a great year for the New Chauncey Neighborhood. The NCNA events all enjoyed pleasent weather and are growing in attendance. The Boiler Blast and the Welcome Back Picnic were the highlights of the year as all parts of the neighborhood came together - all ages and stages took part together.

2008 Halloween Parade

Each year the NCNA sponsors a Halloween Parade in the neighborhood. Costume wearers both young and old enjoy the short parade and the "awards" in the park. The 2008 Halloween Parade was better than ever. See the details.

2008 Annual Meeting

Our 2008 Annual meeting was well attended last Thursday. We had 42 NCN neighbors. Guest speakers included: Mayor John Dennis, Police Chief Jason Domkowski, Director of Development Chandler Poole, & Assistant Director of Development Allen Grady. We heard from each person about what was happening in WL & were able to voice many questions & concerns in relation to our neighborhood. We also heard from Danny Weiss about our new CHAUNC-PAC (political action committee). See the details and photos

Welcome Back Weekend - Picnics and Concerts ROCK!

Welcome Back Picnic Rocks the Block!

August 2008 - NCNA closed out the Saturday before classes start with a picnic and concert kindly hosted by Bruce and Pam Applegate at their Hayes Street The Dogs on the Grillhome. The hot dogs were grilled by our our Carl Griffin with the rest of the food provided by the Applegates and neighbors as a way of welcoming the students back to the neighborhood.
